Lite ostruken Einarkasse. |
Tre kalkdukar i siden med Kristusmonogram i guldbroderi. |
And while waiting for the real thing to start (as in me getting to work!) I want to share som pics of old stuff, sadly in a rather poor phone camera quality, but still... I hope you enjoy them, see them as teasers, 'cause as soon as I get the chance, I'll go back to the church in Regna to get some better ones whith my good camera. Those textiles was finished in 2009 and deliviered in January at the Feast of the Epiphany. I hope the pics in some way explains what their purpose are, the last of them is three different chalice cloths of silk with couched jap gold forming the monogram of Christ.
The last three pics is partly from the work I finished in November. It's the "stola" togehter with it's companion which is a cloth to cover the chalice for the euchari/communion, I'm not sure what term that is the most fitting. Both of them are made in the finest english wool cloth, with couched jap gold and linen thread. The chalice cloth learned me a lot, it's not the best way to make that much and tight couching in a small area; the fabric easily gets pulled together by the many stitches and makes the cloth look buckled next to the embriodered strip
Since I heard that not so many wants to read endless blogposts, I put and end to it here, welcome back soon.
